Profesional, experienced, efficient, and affordable.  This is how I would describe my experience with Tom and his crew at U.P. Tree Services.  I had a huge Silver Maple that had a 13 foot circumference.  This massive tree (quite possibly the biggest of the old growth in Negaunee) grew over my son's bedroom and my neighbors garage.  It was a danger and needed to come down.  Tom and his crew worked diligently and safely to to bring down our tree.  I don't write many testimonials, but I strongly recommend giving U.P. I just recently had a very dead and rotting tree threatening my house. Several local tree cutters told me I needed a pro with a bucket truck and insurance to take it down.  Also it was in an absent neighbors yard.  After thinking about it for two years, I noticed an ad at Sherri's in Ishpeming for UP Tree Service, also in Ishmpeming.  

After a couple more visits to eat there (and seeing the ad again) I decided to give them a call and see what it would take to get someone who had the equipment and know how.

I'm so glad I did.

The owner, Tom Hendrickson came out - I think he had a break and came out the same day I called (?) - anyway it was right away.

He offered me a very reasonable price.  

He was aware and professional about safety and legality.

He contacted the property owner and obtained all necessary permissions.

He offered me several cost affecting options and saved me several hundred dollars in the process.

Tom and his crew came right away - within two days of getting the permissions needed.  

They were all courtious, friendly - stuck to business though - and quickly and tidily got the job done.

Their equipment was clean and in good condition.

They set up with care and understanding.

I was very impressed and very happy with the service and Toms willingness to work within my budget.

Anyway, I wanted to recommend this nice, on top of business, young local guy.

He was quick, reasonable, professional, friendly and dependable for me.

Tom Hendrickson and his crew took down a number of trees in our yard that were overgrown and growing too close to the house for a very fair price.  His work was extremely professional and fast.  The clean-up, chipping, and stump removal top notch.  We were very pleased and we would not hesitate to ask Tom and his crew to help us with future tree and/or stump removal. --Monica and Bill Mckenny, Marquette
